This policy explains how the BamboLens app for Meta Quest and the web version at 3dview.bambohouse.com (together, "BamboLens") handle personal data. The controller is Wesley Montoza Vilas Boas de Oliveira, an individual, contact legal@bambohouse.com.
In short: BamboLens has no accounts, uses no analytics or advertising, and does not send your files or your headset's sensor data to the developer. Everything the app needs to work stays on your device.
BamboLens includes a built-in browser (the "portal") with shortcuts to 3D model websites such as Printables, Thingiverse, MakerWorld and Cults3D. When you use it, you access those websites directly, and they receive the data any browser sends (such as your IP address and cookies), under their own privacy policies. BamboLens is not affiliated with them. Cookies and sign-ins are kept on the device by the system browser so that you stay signed in. What you type into a website's fields goes straight to that page; the app does not store passwords. The app identifies itself to the websites as "BamboLens" together with the browser's standard identification.
The web version is served by the developer's own server, which records, for operation and security, the date and time, the requested address and the result of each request, without storing IP addresses. Files you open in the web version are read in your browser and are not uploaded to the server. The graphics library (Three.js) is loaded from the jsDelivr content delivery network, which receives the IP address of whoever accesses it, under its own policy.
The app is distributed through Meta's store (Meta Horizon Store) and runs on the Meta Quest system. Purchases, the verification of your license to use the app and the data the Quest system itself collects are handled by Meta, under Meta's privacy policy.
You may exercise the rights provided by Brazil's General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018, art. 18) and, where applicable, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation, by writing to legal@bambohouse.com. Because the app's data stays on your device, you can delete it yourself: uninstalling the app removes its preferences (downloaded files remain in the Download folder until you delete them), and website cookies can be removed by signing out of each website or clearing the app's data in the Quest settings.
BamboLens is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.
This policy may be updated; the current version is always available at this address, with the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app or on its store page.
